Michael James Schaecher

Michael James Schaecher, 26, of Moline, IL, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024.

Services will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline.

Visitation 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Michael was born on August 13, 1997, to Michelle Dithmart and David Schaecher. He attended Moline High School and was the Assistant Manager at The Grinders & Spaghetti House in Moline for the last five years.

Michael loved the outdoors, especially fishing, biking, and the annual family trip to Silver Lake in Wisconsin every summer. His passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Michael leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly: his father - David Schaecher of Moline; grandmother- Marlee Schaecher of Bettendorf; aunt and uncle - Jamie and Ron Calvert of Bettendorf; extra special cousin – Jennalin Calvert, also of Bettendorf; longtime best friend – Drew Phillips, and Michaels’s girlfriend - Brianna Tenney. Each of them played a significant role in his life and have countless happy memories that they will cherish forever.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle, paternal grandfather - Jim Schaecher, and maternal grandmother- Roberta Krajnovich.

Michael, although your time on earth was short, your memory will continue to inspire us to live fully, love deeply, and laugh often. Rest in peace, our dear Michael; your journey was a blessing to all of us. See you when we get there!
