Michael J. McClean, 66, of Rock Island, IL, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at his home.

A visitation will be held Friday, December 7th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. A Memorial Mass will then be held on Saturday, December 15th, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Pius Catholic Church, 2502 - 29th Avenue, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Care & Control, 4001 - 78th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265.

Michael J. McClean was born in Rock Island on November 5, 1946, to Clifford and Mary (Kerwin) McClean. On July 26, 1989, in Las Vegas, NV, he married Deanna Goetz.

He graduated from Rock Island High School, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed for 35 years at John Deere Plow-Planter, until his retirement November 5, 2005. He was a long time member of St. Pius Church in Rock Island.

In addition to his wife, Deanna, survivors include: brother: Dr Vincent McClean of Rock Island; nieces: Elizabeth Junco of Miami, FL, Christi McClean of Bettendorf, IA, and Colleen (Bryan) Radosevich of Lakewood, CO; sisters-in-law: Mary Lou Bennett-McClean and Alanna (Bill) McGovern, all of East Moline, and Sandy (Kevin) Wohlford of Eldridge, IA; and his mother-in-law Anna Goetz of East Moline. He was preceded by his parents, brother Jerry McClean, nephew Todd McClean, and his father-in-law Raymond R. Goetz, Jr.
