Michael Alvin, born on May 5, 1968, in Moline, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly in Rock Island on February 17, 2025. A proud graduate of United Township High School, Michael was known for his generous spirit and unwavering support for those around him.

Throughout his life, Michael embodied the value of giving, always there to lend a helping hand in times of need. His kindness and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. An outdoor enthusiast, Michael took delight in fishing and sharing his love for football with friends and family.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Marie Alvin( Rock Island), and his brothers and sister, Terry Alvin(Rock Island), Gary Alvin (Rock Island), Sister Tina Alvin( Cedar Rapids), and Sean Alvin and his partner Terry Hilbert( Bettendorf) Additionally, he is survived by his nephew Todd Gustafson and his niece Mariah Alvin. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Alvin.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his dear friend John, who stood by Michael's side throughout their friendship together. They would also like to acknowledge the warmth and fellowship of the Word Church of East Moline, which provided comfort and support to Michael during his life.

Michael's legacy of generosity and love will be cherished by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at The Word Church, 356 16th Avenue, East Moline, IL, with visitation beginning one hour prior.
