Melvin T Bruggeman

Melvin T. Bruggeman, 73, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Trinity Rock Island in Rock Island, IL. Per his wishes, the body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17th, at 3:00 p.m., with a two-hour visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service. Memorials may be made to the family. Melvin T. Bruggeman was born June 7, 1938, to Edward and Emma (Dingbaum) Bruggeman in Delaware County, IA. He married Judy Nealson on May 27, 1967, in West Liberty, IA. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He was the owner and operator for over 40 years of Midwest Bowling Supply in Colona, IL. He was a member of Moline American Legion Post #246. Survivors include: son: Brian Bruggeman of Moline; granddaughters: Danielle Powell, Bethie Ann Fanchi, and Katie Grace Bruggeman; sisters: Dorie (Jim) Corcoran of Manchester, IA, Mae Funke of Greeley, CO, Martha Huber of Delhi, IA, and Rosie (Don) Lyness of Ryan, IA; brothers: Fr Donald Bruggeman of Tempe, AZ, and Kenneth Bruggeman of Manchester, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Sarina Bruggeman.
