Mearlene J Cooper

Mearlene Cooper, 77, of Hampton, IL, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at her home. Visitation will be Friday, January 4th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be Saturday, January 5th, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hampton United Methodist Church. Mearlene J. Olsen was born in Moline on September 18, 1935, to Mearl and Zella (Marsell) Olsen. On April 23, 1966, in Hampton, she married Gerald 'Jerry' Cooper, who survives. She was a member of Hampton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed family get-togethers, collecting Isabel Blooms, reading books, traveling, and especially loved camping and fishing near Rice Lake, WI, where she and Jerry had a camper. In addition to her husband, survivors include, children: Dennis (Catherine) Cooper of West Bend, WI, Barbara (Mikey) Heflin of Peoria, IL, Deana Safronov of Las Vegas, NV, Dana (John) Lewis of Geneseo, IL, and Gary (Pamela) Cooper of Hampton, IL; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother.
