Maxine K Lage

Maxine K. Lage, 96, of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Friendship Manor in Rock Island, IL. Services will be Friday, March 11th, at 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will be at Grand Island Cemetery in Grand Island, NE. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Maxine K. Seier was born in Grand Island, NE, on August 14, 1914, to Elmer and Caroline (Seier) Scott. On November 28, 1955, in Grand Island, she married August Henry Lage, who preceded her in death October 2, 1978. She graduated from beauty school, and became owner/operator of Maxine's Beauty Parlor in Grand Island. She enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes, and she loved her dogs. Survivors include: daughter, Sharon (Michael) Wieck, and son, Douglas L. Sell, all of Moline, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
