Mary Drew, 95, of Moline, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at her home, with her family at her side, Services will be Friday, January 10th, at 12:00 noon, with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. until time of the service, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Estates Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to Moline Missionary Church, 3910 - 13th Street, Moline, IL 61265, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Mary R. McIntosh was born in Mystic, IA, on January 22, 1918, to John and Mary (Harris) McIntosh. On September 29, 1934 in Brazil, IA, she married Fred Drew, who preceded her in death December 27, 1993. During WWII, Mary worked at the John Deere Company in Moline. After the war, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Moline Gospel Temple, and was a member and past-president of the Mabel Watts Quilting Circle. She was a deaconess and a Sunday School teacher. She loved fishing, gardening, baking, and quilting. Survivors include: a daughter: Ruth (Marvin) Stewart of Moline; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Drinkwine; a son-in-law: Jim Drinkwine; four sisters and four brothers.
