Mary Jane Mcclean

Mary Jane McClean, 87, of Moline, IL, passed away, surrounded by her family, at her home Saturday, June 18, 2011.

Visitation will be Monday, June 20th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Tuesday, June 21st, at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1608 – 13th Street, Moline. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rock Island, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the American Heart Association.

Mary Jane McLaughlin was born in St. Louis, MO, on March 12, 1924, to Harry and Jane (Aubuchon) McLaughlin. On November 22, 1947, in Moline, she married John Richard “Dick” McClean, who preceded her in death May 7, 1994.

She was a homemaker, and a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors are: daughters: Jane A. Wilson, Judy C. (Steve) Tagtmeier, and Patty M. (Mick) Jones, all of Moline; sons: John R. “Dick” (Jane) McClean, Jr. of Moline, and Timothy (Eileen) McClean of Deerfield, IL; a brother: Raymond (Jill) McLaughlin of Moline; fourteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Lee and Jim McLaughlin, and a son-in-law: Michael E. Wilson.
