Mary J Stevens

Mary J. Stevens, 85, of Moline, IL, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center in Moline. Services will be Tuesday, October 11th, at 11:00 a.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, IL Mary Knaack was born in Moline on July 10, 1931, to John and Mary (Scherer) Knaack. On June 20, 1953, in Moline, she married William Stevens, who preceded her in death in July of 2010. She graduated from Moline High School, and was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Moline. Survivors include sons, Mark (Nancy) Stevens of Moline and Jeff (Sue) Stevens of Colona, IL; a brother, John Knaack of Moline; three grandchildren, Doug, Brittney, and Tom Stevens; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Knaack and a sister, Katherine Schultz.
