Mary Elizabeth Anderson

Mary E. Anderson, 91, formerly of Moline, IL, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at Our Lady Of The Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Services will be Friday, March 13th, at 2:30 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with visitation at 1:30 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Moline's Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the MS Society. Mary Elizabeth Danver was born in El Reno, OK, on April 28, 1917, to Arthur and Gertrude (Elliott) Danver. In 1941, in Moline, she married John A. Anderson, who preceded her in death in 1965. Mary graduated from the Kahler Hospitals School of Nursing in Rochester, MN, in 1938. She practiced nursing at the Mayo Clinic, and at both the former Lutheran Hospital and the former Moline Public Hospital in Moline, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Moline. She enjoyed traveling, church activities, and being with family and friends. Survivors include her daughter: Linda Anderson of Chicago, and a grandson: Greg Anderson of Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son John, her parents, and a brother, Arthur Danver.
