Martin David Cox

Martin Cox, 54, of Moline, IL, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at UnityPoint Trinity West in Rock Island, IL. Per his wishes, cremation will be accorded. An Open House celebrating Marty’s Life will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Martin David Cox was born July 18, 1962 in Moline, to Charles William and Katherine (Lawless) Cox. On July 26, 1997, he married Debrah Zastrow, who survives. He graduated from Moline High School, and attended Black Hawk College and Western Illinois University. He was employed at ETS and at Scott Community College as an Internet Networking Specialist. He was a recipient of the Doris and Victor Day Foundation Scholarship, the Terry O’Banion Student Technology Award, and the Commitment to Excellence Award. He enjoyed computers and internet gaming, but especially loved spending time with family. In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughters, Arion and Megan Cox and son, David Cox; his granddaughter, Kyleigh; and his brother, Andrew Cox.
