Martha Marie Hegenbart, age 89, of Moline, IL. died on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Aspenwood Health Care Center in Silvis, IL. Martha Marie Hoy was born on December 25, 1917, to Fred and Opal (Lockwood) Hoy in Urbana, IL. She married Don Raymond Hegenbart in Covington, IN on January 15, 1936. Martha assisted her husband in the taking care of Archie Allen Camp in Port Byron, IL, and also helped him at the Port Byron Locker Plant. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Moline, Riverside Methodist Church in Moline, and the Methodist Church in Port Byron, IL. She always helped with the dinners served at the churches. She was a dedicated volunteer for the 4-H Club , and enjoyed flower gardening, baking and cooking, and the outdoors, and most of all loved her family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Visitation will be at the funeral home on May 26th from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to the Riverside Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice. Survivors include her husband; two daughters: Donna (Wayne) Buysse-Stoppelmoor of Silvis, IL; and Janis Irwin and her fiance Jim Brown of Colona, IL.; one son: David (Linda) Hegenbart of the state of New Mexico; six grandchildren: Kerry (Jim) Marolf of Rock Island, IL; Dee (Paul) Strong of Littleton, CO; Todd (Amy) Irwin of Houston, TX; Joe (Belinda) Irwin of Moline, IL; Darin (Sharon) Hegenbart of Davenport, IA; and Tracy (Martin) Mohr of Orlando, FL, and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson, Drew Irwin.
