Martha A Jesuit

Martha "Marti " Jesuit, 74, of East Moline, IL, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in Moline. Visitation will be Friday, March 9th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Saturday, March 10th, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. Martha A. Lucas was born in Moline on May 6, 1937, to Clarence and Ruth (Dorwart) Lucas. She was formerly married to John "Jack" Jesuit. She was a flight scheduler for Deere & Company Aviation for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed Jazz music, cooking for friends and family, and driving in her convertible. She also knitted hats for newborn babies at the hospitals. Survivors include: three daughters: Julie Kessler of Mount Airy, MD, Jeanne (Jeff) Sackfield of Silvis, IL, and Janis (John) Watson of Moline; two sons: James (Christy) Jesuit of Weldon Spring, MO, and Joseph Jesuit of Clarence, IA; eight grandchildren: Alex, Joseph, Matty, Adam, Julia, Jennie, Lucas and Martha; five step-grandchildren; and Colin, a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother,Donald Lucas.
