Mark Allen Knedler, 57, of Rockford, IL, passed away on March 29, 2013, in Rockford. He was born on January 17, 1956, in Davenport, IA, to William and Helen (Wells) Knedler. A visitation will be held at the Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 West State Street, Rockford, IL, on Thursday, April 4th, from 6 to 8 p.m. A second visitation will be Friday, April 5th, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. A service will be held at Wendt Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6th, with burial at Rose Lawn. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Bloemsma on December 29, 1975, was a member of the Moline Gospel Temple, graduated from Hamilton Technical College, and was employed by the State of Illinois Department of Transportation since 1990. Mark loved to ride his Harley. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and playing with his grandson. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Knedler, daughter Heather Beth Knedler, and grandson Jaridan Mark Knedler, all of Rockford; brother Paul (Char) Knedler of Moline; sister Carolyn Simkovich of Pittsburgh, PA, fifteen Nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Betty Jean Scott, and an infant brother, Donald Earl Knedler.
