Marjorie H Graflund

Marjorie H. Graflund, 98, of Silvis, IL, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis. A visitation will be Wednesday, September 19 th , from 5 pm to 7 pm at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline.  Services will be Thursday, September 20 th , at 10 am, at Salem Lutheran Church, 1724 – 15 th Street, Moline.  Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church. Marjorie H. Thorngren was born in Moline on July 11, 1920, to Charles and Connie (Fahlberg) Thorngren.  She was a graduate of Moline High School.  On October 3, 1941, in Moline, she married John H. Graflund, who preceded her in death on May 19, 2000. She worked for Bell Telephone Company in Moline from 1938 until 1941.  Marjorie was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, and was a Sunday school teacher, a member of WELCA, Evergreens, and the Isabella C Davis Kings Daughters.  She enjoyed needlework and reading. Survivors include daughter, Linda Graflund of Moline; sons, Jack Graflund of Las Vegas, NV, and James (Lori) Graflund of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Dorothy Greim of Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Maren (Joe) Landree, Whitney (Peter) Kollasch, Nick Trebisovsky, Jim (Haddi) Trebisovsky, all of Bloomington, MN, and  Kelley Graflund and Jason Graflund, both of Las Vegas, NV; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Barrett, Connor, Logan, Natalie, Vera, and Soren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Connie Trebisovsky, a sister, Eleanor Olson, and a brother, Harold Thorngren.
