Marian Waltman, 86, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, IL Per her wishes, the body will be cremated. Services will be held Wednesday, November 30th, at 12:00 noon, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Inurnment will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, or First Christian Church, Moline. Marian Elaine Cline was born on October 14, 1925, in Moline, to Herman and Ruth (Christopher) Cline. On August 7, 1946, in Clinton, IA, she married Robert E. Waltman, Sr, who preceded her in death on April 17, 2008. She worked for twenty years as an LPN at the former St. Luke's Hospital, and then owned and operated the Windsor House Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Moline, and for many years, enjoyed roller skating. She will be remembered as an awesome knitter, making sweaters and afghans for the family. Survivors include her five children: Robert (Linda) Waltman, Jr of Moline, Teresa (Rick) Calhoun of Galva, IL, Amy Jo (Greg) Gaskins of East Moline, IL, Gayle (Steve) Trauffer of Titusville, FL, and Timothy Waltman of Coal Valley, IL; a sister: Dorothy Watson of Moline; two brothers: Jack Cline of Moline, and Richard Cline of the state of North Carolina; twelve grandchildren, and more than thirty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister, Betty Wicker.
