Margaret Rose Kress

Margaret Rose Kress, 55, of Rock Island, IL, passed away at her home on May 10, 2018.  She was with her husband of thirty-nine years, who was ever at her side through her four-year battle with cancer.  A celebration of life will be held at the Milan American Legion, 515 First Avenue West, Milan, IL, on Wednesday, May 16 th , from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Margy Mallette was born September 14, 1962, in Davenport, IA, to Wayne and Shiela (Osterberg) Mallette, Sr.  She married her best friend, Tim Kress, on October 23, 1978. Margy spent some of her life providing direct care to people with developmental disabilities, but her life’s greatest passion was being the loving center of her family.  Her children and grandchildren brought her great pride and joy. In addition to her husband, Tim, survivors include her son Timothy Kress, his fiancé, Carrie Jo Studer, and their children, Ean Blue, Madelyn Moon, and Lucy Flower; her daughter and her husband, Tina and Cory Nicholaysen, and their three children, Devyn Rose, Tyler Christian, and Layne Joseph. She was preceded in death by her parents, and Tim’s mother and father, Edward “Bud” and Donna Kress.
