Margaret E. Cramer-Zesiger, 92, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2016 at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport. Visitation will be held in Moline at Wendt Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:30 PM Monday March 7th. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on March 8th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4800 Kennedy Drive East Moline, IL. Burial will then be held at the Good Hope Cemetery in Good Hope, IL, at 3:30 PM March 8th. Margaret was born June 16, 1923 to Robert Birdsall and Elizabeth (Mitchel), tenant farmers in Roseville, IL. She was the youngest of nine children. Margaret was a loving mother and family person. She worked several years at Oak Glen Nursing Home in Rock Island County. Then continued her working career at the Rock Island Arsenal where she retired, receiving an Official Commendation for Excellence from the Department of Army in 1989. She loved history and education and worked in the Genealogy Library at the LDS Church in Davenport. She married Robert (Bob) Zesiger in 2005 after the death of her third husband, and they moved to Ridgecrest Village in 2009. She spent her remaining years a loyal and loving wife and mother. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and although suffering from several ailments, continued to attend church and participate in the Sacrament. A little girl has gone home to be close to her Heavenly Father. She will be remembered here on earth as a wonderful Wife, Mother, and Friend and be loved and welcomed by all who preceded her to our Heavenly home. She knew, respected, and lived by the 12 Commandments. Her life was greatly and positively influenced by the Holy Spirit. Her husband Robert of 10 years feels very honored and privileged to have been her spouse and to have shared so much of her life. Survivors include her husband Bob Zesiger, children David (Sharon) Hall, Keith (Vicki) Hall, Rodney (Marsha) Hall-Markor, and grandchildren, Jenny, Kelly, Kevin, and Kenny Markor, Tony Hall, and two great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by husbands Willis Hall, John Markor, and Richard Cramer, and son John J. Markor.
