Margaret "Peggy" Clemons, 90, of Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at UnityPoint Rock Island.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Private Family Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Rainbow Girls of Illinois Nurse Scholarship or Camp Fund.
Peggy was born October 5, 1931, in Moline, IL, daughter of Albert and Irene (Ohms) Duncan. She married James L. Clemons on January 28, 1951, in Moline, IL, who preceded her in death July 26, 2021.
Peggy first worked at JCPenney in downtown Moline and later at the SouthPark Mall location, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Hope United Church of Christ and was Grand Deputy of the Rainbow Girls of Illinois. She enjoyed her lunches with friends of the Class of 1950, and when younger she enjoyed bowling and going roller skating which is how she met her husband. Traveling was one of her favorite things to do along with being with her grandkids.
Survivors include daughters, Barb Babcock of Moline, IL, and Kay (George) Hull of Port Byron, IL; son, Don (Tammy) Clemons of Moline; grandchildren, Melanie (Kevin) Blum, Jeremy Hull, and David Hull; great-grandchildren, Brittaney, Ashley, Cierra, Keller, and Ayda; great-great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Lio, Carter, Maddie, and Mason.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a step-mom, and an aunt.
