Marcia S Rausch

Marcia S. Rausch, 95, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed peacefully from this Earth on Thursday, June 14, 2018, in New Smyrna Beach, FL. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 23 rd , at 10:00 a.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL.  Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery in Moline. In lieu of flowers, make someone smile. Marcia Shirley Tunberg was born in Moline on May 28, 1923, daughter of Clarence and Elvera (Hallquist) Tunberg.  In 1946, following WW2, she and her husband, Willos Rausch, moved to West Palm Beach where she continued to live until 2016.  Even after all of those years in Florida, she always spoke about and loved the Quad Cities.  She truly has a joy for life and always carried a smile wherever she went.  While at Moline High School, she won the Latin Award, and in her later adult life, received a Master’s Degree in English Literature.  Marcia worked throughout her life as a financial secretary and finished her working career with Merrill Lynch when she was 78. She is survive d by her two sons, Michael and Patrick; grandchildren, William, Sandra, Patricia, and Karen; and great-grandchildren, Sophie, Caroline, and Henry.  All were with her to take her out and celebrate her 95 th birthday.  She had a way of bringing people together and making them laugh.  Marcia will be remembered and missed by many. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Keith, and Robert Tunberg.
