Ann VanElslander-Haugh, 84, of Moline, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Genesis Medical Center in Silvis, IL.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline.
Memorials may be made to the Quad-City Animal Welfare Center, 724 - 2nd Avenue West, Milan, IL 61264..
Mary Ann Haugh was born in Yorkshire, England, on April 3, 1937, to Rose Holdom and was lovingly raised by her adoptive parents Wallace and Mary (McNaughton) Haugh.
She lived in Ontario, Canada, for many years before coming to Moline. She was self-employed in home interiors for 22 years, and also worked in the gift shop of the Celebration Belle River Cruises in Moline.
She enjoyed crafts, reading and always made a home for wayward pets she also loved being with her friends and neighbors.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Brenda VanElslander of Davenport, IA; brothers, Allen (Christy) Haugh of Canada, John (Carol) Jackson of Australia; sisters, Susan Linden of Canada, Eve (Murray) Kennedy, and Ruth Wright, all of Australia; sister-in-law, Lillian Haugh; grandchildren, Jamie (Kyle) Schroeder, and Joe (Caitlin) Skiff; great-grandchildren, Max and Cora; and special friends, Debbie Fuller and Crystal Stillwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Cameron, and a brother, Neal Haugh.
