Lyle Vincent Sears

Lyle Sears, 85, of Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015, in Longboat Key, FL. Christian services will be held on Saturday, January 2nd, at 3:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, after a 2-hour visitation prior to the service. Interment is at the National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Lyle V. Sears was born October 6, 1930, in Davenport, IA. He graduated from Saint Ambrose Academy, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was stationed in Germany for two years. He worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, and participated in local theater, acting, singing, and directing. Lyle is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Margaret Leasenby Sears.
