Lucile V Davis - Mcmurl

Lucile Davis McMurl, 92, of Moline, IL, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf, IA. Services will be Saturday, July 25th, at 11:00 a.m. at Moline Evangelical/Moline Mission Church, 3910 - 13th Street, Moline. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Rapid City Cemetery in Rapid City, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moline Evangelical/Moline Mission Church. Lucile Virginia Jones was born in Brooklyn, IL, on March 6, 1917, to Lonnie and Esther (Hoelscher) Jones. In 1935, she graduated high school in Quincy, IL. On October 5, 1935, in Beardstown, IL, she married Earl Davis, who preceded her in death September 18, 1985. On March 3, 1990, in Moline, she married Harry McMurl, who preceded her in death January 18, 1995. She was a member of the Moline Evangelical/Moline Mission Church, and enjoyed traveling and playing Bunco. Survivors include: a son: Earl C. (Pennie) Davis of Carlsbad, CA; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, family and friends who loved her, and "Percy", her beloved dog. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Beatrice Wynes and Maxine Hinson, a brother, William Jones, and a son, Raymond L Davis.
