“Mary” Louise Wheelock, 98, of Grand Haven, MI, formerly of the Quad Cities, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Robbinswood Assisted Living in Grand Haven, MI. Visitation will be Friday, August 19th, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be Saturday, August 20th, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Estates in Moline. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline, or North Ottawa Hospice in Grand Haven, MI. Louise Johannesen was born in Chicago, IL, on September 17, 1917, daughter of Finn T. and Alice (Tharp) Johannesen. On November 20, 1938, in Moline, she married Howard K. Wheelock, who preceded her in death in 1988. She worked for many years with her husband, Howard, and her brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Sally Wheelock at Wheelock’s Drug Store in Moline. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Carpentier, Marshall and Goddard in Moline. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline. Louise enjoyed playing Bridge and reading. Survivors include, daughter, Susan (Henry) Kacprzyk of Muskegon, MI; grandchildren, Nick (Andrea)Kacprzyk, Sarah Kacprzyk, Ben (Sarah) Kacprzyk, and Joe (fiancé Laura and her son Evan) (Joe and Laura will be getting married on what would have been Louise’s 99th birthday); great-granddaughters, Breslyn, Elsie, Lola, Charlotte, and Macey Kacprzyk; and a special nephew, Richard Johannesen. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Richard and Charles, and her sister, Elizabeth.
