Louella M Weis

Louella M. Weis, 83, of Moline, IL, died Monday, April 7, 2008, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL. Louella M. Ratel was born on May 31, 1924, to Frank and Edith (Sherman) Ratel in Trenton, MO, She married Roy Weis in 1943 in Muscatine, IA, and he preceded her in death. She was a home maker, and loved her children and grandchildren. She loved to read her Bible, and was an excellent cook. She loved animals of all kinds. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10th, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be held on Friday, April 11th, at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch, or to the Rock Island County Animal Shelter. Survivors include: one daughter: Vickie (Mark) Reno of Springfield, MO; Roy Weis, Jr. of Moline, Rodger (Randi) Weis of Springfield, MO, Robert Weis of the state of Hawaii, Ronald Weis of Moline, and Richard Weis of Moline; one daughter-in-law: Suzanne Weis of Bettendorf, IA.; two sisters: Mary DeLeew of California, and Ann Jarvis of Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; and eleven great- grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, and a son: Ralph Weis.
