Lou Ann Hampton, 55, of Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at UnityPoint-Trinity West in Rock island. Services will be Sunday, September 14th, at 4:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, with a two-hour visitation from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service. Per her wishes, her body will be cremated. There will be a funeral luncheon for a Celebration of her life at Salem Lutheran Church, 1724 – 15th Street, Moline, at 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family. Lou Ann Hampton was born April 9, 1959, in Dubuque, IA, daughter of Neil and Karen (McDonald) Hampton. She graduated from high school in Wisconsin. She then met her lifetime partner of over 30 years, Jay R. Elliott, and moved to Moline to be with him, and start a family. She enjoyed playing with her cats, Tigger and Smokey, eating out, and shopping. Survivors include: her daughter Jessica L (Brad Dusek) Elliott of Belvidere, IL; her life-partner, Jay Elliott of Moline; her aunt and uncle Roger and Mary Kay McDonald of Cassville, WI; and many members of the Elliott family in the Quad Cities. She was preceded in death by her parents.
