Lorraine Septer,75, of Moline, IL, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Oak Glen Home in Coal Valley,Il. Visitation will be Monday, February 9th, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Tuesday, February 10th, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Cremation will then be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Alhzeimers Association. Lorraine Baker was born in Black Creek, WI, on January 1, 1934, to Robert and Margaret (Wilshire) Baker. On September 9, 1950, in Moline Il., she married Jim Septer, who preceded her in death on August 8, 2000. She was employed for many years at the former International Harvester Company Farmall Works in Rock Island, IL. Later, she worked for Burke Dry Cleaners, Desaulniers Publishing, and Project Now. Lorraine enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing and cross stitching, going to auctions, and loved attending Blue Grass Music Festivals. Survivors include: four daughters: Linda Powell of Boise, ID, Jolene (Paul) Koczera of Carryville, TN, Vickie (Dean) Hamilton of Moline, and Kari Ashby of Rock Island; four sisters: Arlene Hunwardson, Donna Myers, Audrey Osterhagen, and JoAnn Riley; five brothers: Dale, Duane, Harland, Bobby, and Kenny Baker; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Connie Box and Joann Newman. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Merle, and a nephew T.J..
