Lois Jean Hart was born in Trenton, MO, on February 28, 1927, the daughter of Louis and Pauline (Watson) Hart. She graduated from United Township High School in 1946. On November 1, 1947, in East Moline, she married Kenneth R. Rumler, who preceded her in 2013. Lois was employed as a billing clerk at International Harvester East Moline Works for thirty years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of First Christian Church, and enjoyed a lifelong friendship with her R & O Club. Lois, being an only child, embraced the large Rumler family, and would accompany her husband, Ken, in whatever sport or activity in which he participated. She especially enjoyed their cabin in Bagley, WI, and spent many hours cooking and cleaning. You could even call these chores her hobbies. Lois was also known for her love of singing and dancing. If a piano or organ was being played, you would find Lois singing along. Surviving are children (and spouses), daughter, Cindy (Brian) Rumler, and grandchild, Jessica Rumler, Lake Mary, FL; sons, David (Lynne) Rumler, Moline, and grandchildren, Paul (Leah) Rumler, and Audrey (Eric) Kendig, and great-grandchildren, Madeline, Samuel, and Lucy Kendig; and Dan (Becky) Rumler, Moline, and grandchildren, Hanna, Becca, and Molly Rumler; step-grandchildren, Jordan, James (Katie) Durkee, and step-great-grandchildren, James Jr, and Liam; Jenielle, and step-great-grandchild, Marley Durkee. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, and her parents. The family would like to thank the staff at Illini Restorative Care Center, and Dr. Dadhaniya and his staff for the wonderful care they provided her.
