Lisa M Decock

Lisa M. DeCock, 55, of Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, in Morgan County, MO, near Eldon, MO, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 14th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Private family services will be held, and inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society in Muscatine, IA. Lisa M. Schmitt was born in Chicago, IL, on November 8, 1956, to Roy and June (Lowe) Schmitt. On April 10, 1976, in Eldridge, IA, she married Robert E. DeCock, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2008. She graduated from Moline High School, and received her Associates Degree from Scott Community College. She was employed as a technical writer at Almon Company in East Moline, IL. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Wilton, IA, the Goldwing Road Riders Association, and the Single Action Shooting Society. Lisa enjoyed volunteering for the Boy Scouts, and the Muscatine Humane Society. Survivors include: her mother, June Schmitt; sisters, Jean (Derek) Anderson of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Patti (Jeff) Bellmyer of Moline; sister-in-law, Elaine O'Hara; niece: Brandi O'Hara; nephews: Matthew Anderson, Mitch Anderson, Scott Bellmyer, Todd Bellmyer, and Jake O'Hara; and her beloved dogs, Buddy, Annie, and Abby. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Roy Schmitt, and a son, Michael DeCock.
