Linda Louise Cline, 61, of Bettendorf, IA, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Clarissa Cook Hospice in Bettendorf. Linda Louise Pontsler was born May 18, 1947, to Robert and Joan (Abolt) Pontsler in Davenport, IA. She was a graduate of Davenort High School and Palmer College. She married Herman Duwain Cline on May 10, 1975, in Moline, IL. She was employed for the last seven years by Dutrac Credit Union in Davenport, last working in May of this year. She formerly was Office Manager for Payless Cashway in Davenport. Linda was a member of First Christian Church in Moline; the Friendship Class at the church; the Davenport-Bettendorf Womens Bowling Association, where she was a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame; the Davenport-Bettendorf 600 Bowling Club; and the Greater Davenport 700 Bowling Club. Visitation willl be Wednesday, August 13th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be held Thursday, August 14th, at 11:00 a.m.,at First Christian Church in Moline. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery in Davenport. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Moline, IL. Survivors include: her husband, Herman "Jack" Cline; three sisters: Paula Nichols of Davenport, Sharon (Jim) Nikitopoulos of Daytona, FL, and Judy (Gary) Palmer of Farmington, IA; a stepsister, Diana Yound of Colorado; a stepsister-in-law, Sharon Hofeldt of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a stepbrother, Charles Hofeldt.
