Liboria T Sanchez

Liboria 'Betty' Sanchez, age 91, of Moline, IL. died on Saturday, January 13, 2007, at Heartland Health Care Center in Moline. Liboria T. Tortorici was born on May 5, 1915, to Charles and Frances (Russo) Tortorici in Ybor City, FL. She married Jose Sanchez on December 5, 1933, in Tampa, FL. He preceded her in death. She was a cigar maker from age 15 to age 23, and then was a home maker who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed dancing, and loved to travel with friends she had known and loved since childhood. She will be sadly missed by all. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Tampa, FL. Arrangements are being handled by Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Survivors include a daughter: Mary (Don) Smart of Moline, IL.; a son: Paul (Darlene) Sanchez of Moline, IL.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, and three siblings.
