Lia R. Woeber, a beacon of generosity and love, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024, at the age of 52, in Bettendorf, IA, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 30, 1971, in Moline, IL, Lia's life was a testament to her selfless nature and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Lia, a proud graduate of Sherrard High School, went on to earn a degree in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University. Her passion for helping others shone brightly throughout her career, where she applied her education and natural kindness to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around her.
Family was the cornerstone of Lia's world. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Woeber; her cherished daughter, Nichole Frels; her devoted parents, Connie and Rick Ostdiek; her father, Lee Ehlers; and her caring siblings, Matt and Sherie Ehlers, as well as Butch and Tara Ehlers. Her role as an aunt to Katlyn Parsons, Colton Ehlers, and Lauren Smith was one she embraced with joy and pride.
An ardent fan of QC Storm Hockey, Lia also found great pleasure in the company of her beloved pets and treasured the moments spent with family and friends. Her presence was a warm embrace to everyone around her.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, from noon until 5 pm at the Main Event, 3819 State Street, Bettendorf, IA.
