Lavada Dickerson

LaVada Dickerson, age 85, of Moline, IL. died on Friday, January 26, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL. LaVada Walgren was born on May 13, 1921, in Altona, IL. She graduated from Altona High School. On December 4, 1943, in Moline, IL, she married Bailey A. Dickerson, Jr, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2000. LaVada was a housewife and mother, who enjoyed cooking, and liked to crochet and knit. She loved to watch British Comedy Shows and have a good laugh. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 1:30 PM at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Visitation will be on Monday, January 29th, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, IL. Survivors include: a daughter: Vicki Dickerson of Hemet, California.; two sons: Jeff (Linda) Dickerson of Moline, IL., and Kevin Dickerson of Moline, IL.; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Ginger. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
