Larue L. Fraser

April 30, 1935 — October 30, 2020

LaRue L. Fraser, 85 of Moline, passed away October 30, 2020, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island, IL.

Services will be 1 pm, Friday November 6, 2020, at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, IL, with visitation 11 am to 1 pm. There will be a private family burial in Moline Memorial Park, Moline, IL.

Memorials may be made to Christian Friendliness or The Alzheimer’s Association

LaRue was born on April 30, 1935  to Wilbert and Alida (Schoonbaert) Reuter in Rock Island, IL.   She married Glenn H. Fraser on November 29, 1952, in Aledo, IL, who preceded her in death on October 23, 2009.

She graduated Moline High School class of 1953. LaRue spent many years in the dental field last working for Dentistry Unlimited.

She loved volunteering for many organizations which included Christian Friendliness, Home Extension, Kings Daughter and P.E.O.

LaRue was an avid tennis player at the PepsiCo Center for years, competing in the Senior Olympics, as well.

Survivors include her daughters Denise (Rian) Basala, Viola, IL, Leslie (Joe) Fonseca, Rock Island, IL, Lori (Daniel) Miller, Eldridge, IA , Robin Schlundt, Brighton, CO, brother Robert Reuter, Tucson, AZ, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a special friend Richard Basala.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Glenn.
