Kirk D Beek

Kirk D. Beek, 47, of Moline, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center West in Davenport, IA, following a lengthy illness. A visitation will be held at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, on Thursday, December 23rd, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.. There will be no local services. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 27th, at 11:30 a.m., at Elmwood-Saint Joseph Cemetery in Mason City, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rivermont Collegiate Prep School in Bettendorf, IA. Kirk D. Beek was born in Mason City on February 16, 1963, to Craig and Nancy (Ward) Beek. He attended schools in West Des Moines, IA, and graduated in 1981 from Moline High School. He was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 2002, after a disabling illness. Survivors include: his parents, Craig and Nancy Beek of Moline; a son: Cameron Beek of Moline; a brother and sister-in-law: Gregory and Charlie Beek, and a niece: Taylor Beek, all of Franklin, TN. He was preceeded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
