Kenneth Jack Spiegel

Kenneth "Jack" Spiegel, 64, of Moline, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Unity Point in Rock Island.

Services will be Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, with visitation from 10:00, am to 1:00 pm prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center (Rock Island County Humane Society) or to a Homeless Shelter of your choice.

Kenneth was born September 13, 1956, in Moline, IL, son of Kenneth and Carol (Rosenburg) Spiegel. He married Kathryn A. Atkinson on September 26, 1987, in Moline.

Kenneth worked in the family business, Spiegel Moving and Storage Company, for 50 years, retiring as Co-Owner in 2016. He was a member of the Port Byron Congregational Church.

He loved his family. Enjoyed fishing, vacationing, golf outings, hunting, and the Chicago Bears. He also enjoyed all of the pets he had. "He was a Dog's Bestfriend".

In addition to his wife, Kathryn, survivors include his sons: Caleb (Caitlin) Spiegel of Sioux City, IA, Luke Spiegel (Emily Vershaw) of Bloomington, IL, and ; siblings: Sharon Wiemers, Joyce Spiegel, Trisha Andrews, Joseph Spiegel, Kathy Spiegel, and Tom Spiegel; special aunt and godmother Beatrice Rosenburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Spiegel.
