Kenneth Eugene Baker

Kenneth E. Baker, 81, of Tulsa, OK, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016, at his home. A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 16th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. The funeral service, celebrating his life, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17th at the funeral home. Pastor Ricky Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riveroaks Presbyterian Church of Tulsa, OK, or the American Diabetes Association. Ken was born June 5, 1935, in Maplehurst, WI, the son of Robert and Margaret (Curtiss) Baker. On April 25, 1954, he married Ora Evelyn McMann, who preceded him in death on August 6, 2009. He retired in 1993 from John Deere Company, where he worked for thirty-three years. He was a longtime member of the Moline Evangelical Church, and was currently a member of Riveroaks Presbyterian Church, Tulsa, OK. Ken was a lifelong Yankee and Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include sons, Kenneth (Connie) Baker of Ft. Myers, FL, Roddie (Janie) Baker of Henderson, NV; daughter, Donna (Steve) Kurdelmeier of Buford, GA; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Jack) Myers, Moline, IL, Joann(Pat) Riley, Edgewater, CO, Arlene (Darrell) Hundwardsen, Coal Valley, IL, and Audrey Osterhagen, Rock Island, IL; and brothers, Duane Baker, Pittsville, WI, Robert (Sherry) Baker, Moline, IL, and Dale(Paulette) Baker, Long Lane, MO. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harlan and Merle Baker, and one sister,Lorraine Septer.
