A father, brother, husband, grandfather, and friend. Keenan did not know a stranger and met everyone with open arms and love.
Keenan, fondly known as Keelo, was born to Patricia Ann Armstrong, on June 23, 1967, in Davenport, Iowa. He was very passionate about cooking and filling bellies and hearts through the kitchen. You could give him any item and he would surely make a meal. A tactic he would use to reel you in and keep you in a deep conversation for hours. He was very set in his ways and made sure to pass that down for generations to come. Keenan valued family and expressed profound love for his wife, children, and sister and uncle until his dying day.
Keenan believed strongly that family was all that mattered and all you would have in the end. Today that stands true, as everyone gathers to show that his legacy and the love he shared will forever reign true. Love you and Later were his coined statements. Until next time Keelo G, your legacy continues.
He leaves behind to mourn him his children: Darrques Rhoden, Keeyanna Lightner (Ashdon), Keena Armstrong, Chadai Armstrong, Keenan (Duke) Armstrong Jr., and Asia Armstrong. His sister: Valarie Morrow (Terry). His Uncle: Howard Armstrong Jr. 13 grandchildren (Angilee (Josh), Ariana (Jonah), Kaileal, Breeyanna, Kash, Jakari, Miracle, Kylah, Keon, Aiden, Reina, Amora, and Lonnie III). One great-grandson (Kylan). His wife, Deborah Armstrong. His nieces: Shakayla and Rayven and his nephew Terry Jr. To continue to cherish his memory also includes: three grand-nieces, a host of cousins and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, mother, and Father in law, two granddaughters, and one grandson.
John 14:1-3
Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
Poem
Until we meet Again
Those special memories of you
Will always bring a smile
If only I could have you back
For just a little while
Then we could sit and talk again
Just like we used to do
You always meant so very much
And always will do too
The fact that you're no longer here
Will always cause me pain
But your forever in my heart
Until we Meet Again
