Kay Ellen Tolson

Kay Ellen Tolson, age 76, of Moline, IL, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at her home. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24th, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be at 10:30 am on February 25th, at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, 4700 – 53rd Street, Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice. Kay Ellen Hevertz was born August 13, 1939, in San Francisco, CA, to Charles and Emmeline (Flessner) Hevertz. She married Richard G. Tolson on April 16, 1979, in Las Vegas, NV. She was employed for 35 years, at Wells Fargo Bank in Los Angeles, CA, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Glendale, CA, and Calvary Church of the Quad Cities in Moline. Kay was an expert at her favorite hobby of cross-stitch. In addition to her husband, Richard, survivors include: daughters Autumn Susanna Hanbas of Portland, OR, and Sherry Brun of Goldsborough, NC; son Eric Tolson of the state of Florida; twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Charleen Bauer.
