Katherine A Davidson

Katherine A. Davidson, age 94, of Moline, IL. died June 10, 2007 at the St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center in Rock Island, IL. Katherine A. Steppe was born January 27, 1913, to Benjamin and Sally (Lyttle) Steppe in Marion, NC. She attended Marion Elementary School and graduated from the Ashville Normal School for Girls. She attended Business College in Ashville, NC. In 1937, Katherine married Lawrence Davidson, who preceded her in death on April 22, 1959. Katherine worked in Central Service at the Moline Lutheran Hospital, and then was employed as Switchboard Operator for the City of Moline for 15 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member since 1943 of Salem Lutheran Church in Moline; the Sarah Circle; the Lutheran Hospital Circle; and was a Charter Member of the Clara Lodge. Services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at 12 Noon, at Salem Lutheran Church in Moline. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Rose Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, IL. Survivors include: one son: Paul (Linda) Davidson of Moline.; three grandchildren: Elizabeth Minooka, Kevin Palau, and Mark Davidson, of Moline, and five great-granddaughters. In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her parents; one sister: Sarah Steppe; and two brothers: David and Paul Steppe.
