Karen Depaepe

Karen S. DePaepe, 47, of Moline, IL, departed this life unexpectedly, on Sunday, September 27, 2015 in Moline. Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life is being planned for a future date. Wendt Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Karen was born in Davenport, IA, on February 18, 1968, daughter of Glenda and Roger Johnson. She attended school in Cumberland, WI, and was a graduate of Kaplan University. Karen was a loving and devoted mother, and she left behind many friends and family who will cherish her memory. Survivors include her son, Dalton DePaepe of Rock Island, IL; her parents of Cumberland, WI; her Aunt Mary Tometich, and her Uncle John Long, both of Bettendorf, IA; a half-sister Jackie (John ) Peterson of Racine, WI; a half-brother Raymond Smith of Hillsdale, IL; a step-sister Jill (Jamie) Barrall of Hutchinson, MN; a step-brother Mike (Louise Cole) Johnson of Balsom Lake, WI; and her special friend Bryant Jost of Moline, IL. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lexy DePaepe. Memorials may be made to her son, Dalton DePaepe, c/o 715 – 17th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265.
