Karen Ann Wiedenmann

Karen Wiedenmann, 53, of East Moline, IL, and St. Louis, MO, died Sunday, September 11, 2016 in East Moline. Services will be Monday, September 19th, at 11:00 a.m., at Christ United Methodist Church, 3801 – 7th Street, East Moline, following a two-hour visitation at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of the services. A private family interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to the church. Karen Ann Wiedenmann was born in Moline on March 17, 1963, to Lynn George and Violet Rose (Souers) Wiedenmann. She was a graduate of United Township High School, and Augustana College, where she earned a degree in Computer Science and Math. She was employed for several years at Moline High School. While attending both UTHS and Augie, she played varsity basketball and tennis. Karen then graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy, and, until 2010, was a Pharmacist at DePeres Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in East Moline, United Methodist Women, and Patience Circle. Karen enjoyed sports and working outside in her yard, and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include, her mother, Violet Wiedenmann of East Moline; sister, Susan (Mark) Newsome of Cary, NC; brother, Jeff (Barbara) Wiedenmann of Coal Valley, IL; brother-in-law, James Preston of St. Louis; nephews, Matthew Newsome and Andrew Wiedenmann; and niece, Courtney Wiedenmann. She was preceded in death by her father, Lynn G. Wiedenmann, and her twin-sister, Cheryl Preston.
