Justin “Jumpin’ Jay” Pierce, 38, of Moline, IL, died Monday, January 23, 2017, at UnityPoint Trinity West in Rock Island, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 29th at 4:00 p.m., with a two-hour visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the service, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Justin was born October 26, 1978, in Moline, to Russell Pierce and Kelly Jo (Stafford) Taylor. He worked in construction for several companies in the Quad Cities area. He was the motivation behind any roofing crew. He was a simple man, and enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends. Survivors include, daughter, Gretchen; son, William; his father, Russell; a sister, Kayla (Jesus) Gonzalez of Muscatine, IA; and brothers, Tim Sunlin of Rock Island, and Kenny DeBord of Milan; and step-family members: Wayne, Tom, Haley, Tarra, Hope, Todd, Thomas, and Michelle. He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandparents, Rosemary and Jim.
