Julie Marie Devinney

Julie Marie Devinney, 60, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, in Rock Island, IL.

Julie was born in Moline, IL, on April 27, 1963, to Clarence and Janice (Crouse) Bailey. She married John Devinney on December 13, 1986, in Coal Valley.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Julie's Celebration of Life will start at 1:00 pm., Sunday, August 6, 2023, at The Lodge At The Conservancy, in Milan, IL.

Julie graduated from Moline High School, class of 1981, and attended Black Hawk College, where she received her Associates degree.

She loved everyone around her and would drop anything to help the people in her life. She loved to garden, and was always on the lookout for the newest and most odd looking plants. She had such a love for any animal she came across; but specifically her beloved dogs Bandit, Finn & Cooper. She was an expert Grandma to her grandchildren Alayna & Ollie and even to her Grand - pups Sawyer, Moose, Dexter, Bruno, Dixie & Huckleberry. She loved a good time and could always be counted on to liven up any situation.

Julie made a positive impact in every person she met and will be missed by many.

In addition to her husband, John Devinney; survivors include: daughter, Lindsay Dotterer, Milan, IL; Andrew Devinney & Christina Devinney, Moline, IL; two grandchildren: Alayna Devinney (6) & Oliver Dotterer (2); and sister Sherry Hancher, Homosassa, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Vickie Atchison.
