Julie Newman (56) Moline, IL (1966-2023) entered heaven after a courageous battle with gallbladder cancer. Julie passed peacefully on the morning of April 4 with her family by her side. She was born on April 23, 1966, to Milton and Kay Mulholland of Elvira, IA. After a wonderful childhood spent on the family farm, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Education. Julie then went on to obtain her Masters in Counseling. She had a fulfilling career as a middle school guidance counselor at Williams Intermediate School in Davenport. She loved working with all of the students and teachers and thrived on the positive impact she could make on her students' lives.
Julie married the love of her life, Christopher Newman, on September 14, 2002. Their daughter, Lindsey, was her pride and joy. Julie lived her life for her beloved family, her students, and her many, many wonderful friends. She never met a stranger and seemed to know a million people. She was our ray of sunshine and always had a smile on her face and the most contagious laughter. Julie loved exercise, kids, and animals of all kinds. Most of all, she loved spending time with her daughter. She was an active member of the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church in Moline, IL.
