Judy D Lamberson

Judy R. Lamberson, 64, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Thursday, January 15th, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established later. Today we are mourning the passing of a very special person. Judy was a loving mother, a sensational grandmother, and an exceptional wife. The old saying, to know her was to love her, was not the exception, but the rule. Judy R. Hagmeier was born in the Keokuk, IA area, on August 26, 1944, to Virgil R. and Mary L. (Calhoun) Hagmeier. She spent the first eighteen years of her life in that area. After graduating from high school, she met Lonnie W. Lamberson, and they were married on December 23, 1962, in Grace Memorial Church in Moline. She retired in 1993, after 20 years, from Oscar Mayer Company. She enjoyed playing bingo, framing pictures, quilting, cross-stitching, and baking and decorating wedding cakes. Whatever she wanted to do, she would put her mind to it and get it done. Judy especially loved her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survivied by her children: Scharlet (Stan) Clement, and Virlon (Sheryl) Lamberson, all of Davenport IA, Lewis Lamberson, and Teresa (Mike) Septer, all of Moline; her grandchildren: Marissa and Ashley Clement, Ryan and Adam Septer, and Cole, Jessie, and Reanna Lamberson; three sisters: Myrtle Strait of Keosauque, IA, Garnet Hall of Showlow, AZ, and Sharon Canida of Montrose, IA; and a brother, Terry Hagmeier of Cedar Rapids, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and an infant daughter, Mary Lou.
