Josephine M Moore

Josephine M. Moore, age 83, of Moline, IL. passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2006, at her home. Josephine M. VanGoethem was born on December 11, 1922, to Alfons and Lena (Donis) VanGoethem in East Moline, IL. She married John "Jack" Moore on January 24, 1953, in Rock Island, IL. She worked at Service Rubber Co. in Rock Island, IL during the WWII years, and later was a clerk for Illinois Bell Telephone Co in Rock Island. She was a member of Illinois Pioneers, and the Order of Eastern Star. She loved cooking, ceramics, and traveling. She and Jack enjoyed twenty-five winters in Palm Harbor, FL. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at 10:30 A.M. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathways Hospice. Survivors include - her Husband; five sisters: Maurine (Zeke) Anderson, Susie Hafner, Mary McCulley, Marjorie Ryder, and Shirley Schneekloth, all of Moline; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
