Jodie L Hudson

Jodie L. Hudson, 57, of Moline, IL, passed away at home on Sunday, December 6, 2015, after a brief and courageous battle with liver cancer. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and there will be no services. Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Also per her wishes, a gathering at her home for family and friends, will take place at a later date to celebrate her life. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, 724 – 2nd Avenue West, Milan, IL 61264. Jodie was born January 31, 1958, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Joann and Warren Jennings. She married Kevin H. Hudson in Moline, on December 13, 1975. She worked at XPAC as an Administrative Assistant for 20 years, prior to retiring in 2009. Jodie’s passion was her horses, especially “Kentucky”. She loved going on rides with her husband, her grandson, Nyil, and her friends. Jodie’s family was the center of her world, and she loved them very much. Those left to celebrate her memory include her husband of 40 years, Kevin; sons, Jacob “Jake” Hudson of East Moline, and Jared Hudson of Moline; two grandchildren, Nyil Hudson of East Moline, and Wyatt Hudson of Milan; her father, Warren Jennings of East Moline; her sister, Dee Dee (Zeno) Vallejo of Moline; her sister-in-law, Tammy (Ron Sr.) O’Meara of Silvis, IL; her mother-in-law, Donna Hudson; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jodie was preceded in death by her mother, Joann Jennings, her father-in-law, Donald Hudson, and her sister-in-law, Vicki Rose.
