Joana Kaye Runge

Joana Kaye Runge, 61, of Sherrard, IL, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, with her family by her side in Iowa City.

The family invites you to join them for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 5, 2022,at the Church of Peace in Rock Island, IL, from 3 to 4:30 pm with a service at 4:30 pm. Her ashes will be distributed according to her wishes.

Memorials may be made to the Church of Peace in Rock Island, IL, or the Quad-City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, IL.

Joana Kaye Runge (Crow) was born on April 19, 1960 to Marian Rodamsky (Frye) and Russell Crow in Aledo, IL. She married Michael Runge in 1978 and had two children, Amber and Matthew.

Joana graduated from the American Institute of Commerce in 1994 with an Accounting degree, and attended Aledo High School class of 1978. She put herself through college when her children were young, and she was the embodiment of fortitude, strength and determination. Joana was a Book keeper for several years and thoroughly enjoyed working.

She was a talented crafter, loved to scrapbook and share memories with her friends and family. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Ralphie.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Amber (Michael) Stroehle; her son, Matthew (Emily Kiehn) Runge; her grandchildren, Elliott Stroehle, George Stroehle, Clark Runge, and Charles Runge; brothers, Thomas (Shirley) Feik, Michael (Kitty) Feik, James (Robyn) Feik, Michael (Debbie) Norton, Jeffrey (Patty) Norton; sisters, Jeana (Elliott) Crow-Aaron, Sandra (Thomas) Norton-Sage; nieces and nephews: Tammy Feik, Shawn Feik, Tori Feik, Shane Feik, Deb Feik, James Feik. Jacob Crow-Aaron, Travis Norton, Jacob Norton, Analecia Norton, Ben Norton, Heidi Norton, Adam Norton, Josh Norton, Cody Norton, Hayley Norton, and Patrick Sage.

Joana was preceded in death by her parents, sister, April Lynn Rodamsky, brother, Ronald (Glenda)Norton.
