Joan M Brauneis

Joan (Joni) Brauneis, 79, of Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, at her home. Visitation will be Saturday, June 16th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 18th, at 10:00 a.m., at the Aledo Cemetery, Aledo, IL. Memorials made be made to the American Cancer Society. Joan M. Boultinghouse was born in Monmouth, IL, on October 27, 1932, to John Lyle and Louise (Anderson) Boultinghouse. She spent her early years in Aledo, and moved to Chicago in 1944. On September 9, 1961, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Park Ridge, IL, she married Kenneth Brauneis, who preceded her in death. Joan worked as a secretary for East Moline Metal Products, retiring in 1994. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Survivors are: son, Daniel John (Qing) Brauneis; daughter, Allison (Paul) Brown; granddaughter, Christi Hepworth; and grandsons, Patrick Brauneis and Michael Williams. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Arthur Brauneis.
